BE AN OBSERVER
Research, Observe
People say they are Searching. What is needed is not Search but a Research. In Search you already know what you are looking for. E.g. a Key, or a Book. So Searching for Atma means you have a preconceived notion (mind-knowledge) about Atma and your mind is doing the searching for what it created! How can that work? Do research instead. In research you are an observer. There is a lot of difference. Observe the mind. You will see how nonsensical it is, how absurd it is. I am not asking you to stop thinking. Thinking based on fact is welcome and essential. But stop thinking based on the nonsense.
BE AN OBSERVER NOT PERFORMER
So first, Observation of the thinking pattern and emotions is needed. See how they function. For this tremendous patience is needed. Instead we are all functioning as a Performer. Performance is a phenomenon. The whole universe is a phenomenon, a performance. Something is performing everything. Observe it. Become the observer, not the performer.
OBSERVATION NEEDS PATIENCE
This needs tremendous patience. Real patience in practice. Not by reading and knowing about patience. Patiently observe your thinking pattern, instead of being a performer. Performance is a phenomenon, and it will happen. Something is performing everything. Observe. And what gives you the patience to be an observer? A strong decision.
All the knowledge in the world won’t help you. A teacher may know the theoretical knowledge of an engine. Even knowledge about the mechanism of the engine. But the teacher is no mechanic. Because he/she has no practical knowledge.
So develop patience, Observe the performance. Perform as an Observer.
Patience + Performance as an Observer leads to Parabrahmam.
