TOUCH
Love of the Guru
When bowing to Sri Mahaprabu he sometimes touches the head in a soft and caressing way.
When you are with a living master, the blocks in you will be removed in many ways. One of them is touch. It seems like the finger is touching you, but via the finger something which can be felt but cannot be seen is passing. It will be captured by THAT in you and some knot somewhere will be removed. This is another reason why you should be with a living master. This is one of the greatest benefit.
Only an Uyir (life energry, Atma) can remove the knot in another Uyir. Everyone thinks it can be removed through Dhyanam. You can sit. But how will the knot be removed? Once the Master removes that knot, you will progress to the next level. In fact you can sit in meditation with the Master a lot, but more beneficial is these kinds of interactions which remove knots. So don’t have the expectation that I should sit for hours in meditation in front of the Master. His touch is enough.
When will the Master touch you? Something you have done with love, it can be anything, doesn’t have to be even material, if that something you have done touches him, at that time from the heart will come his touch. He cannot even stop it. That’s why staying with the master is highly recommended. Without your knowing you will serve him in a way that one day touches him. That’s the benefit.
Remembering his Sadhana days:
Paramahamsa says: Whenever you go to see a Master, never go empty handed. Take something, even a fruit. Will anyone say this to a disciple? What would we think? Why is a Jnani asking me to bring a banana? When I heard of this I felt that way, but as I went deeper I realized what he meant. That actually by giving, you are receiving.
From them onwards whenever Mahaprabu went to see a Swami or Master or Sadhu he would always take something to offer them. If the situation was such that he met them unexpectedly he would request to take them for a cup of coffee or tea after meeting them.
