Nature and Surrender
Sitting under an Almond tree, Sri Mahaprabu showed us the greatness of the Supreme Power and how insignificant we are. Being in unity with Nature is very important. As the Guru is in union with nature, be in unity with the Guru, he taught us.
Glory of the Universe
During Satsang under the large almond tree, Mahaprabu pointed out how from the ground, water and nutrients are sucked upward, against gravity, and sent all the way to the tip of every leaf no matter how spread out it is. And this is happening continuously. Not only that, there is a certain size, shape, and texture to the tree which we call the Almond tree. Where is that information stored? That should have been in the seed. But the seed is so small. Where was it before the seed. It should have been in the state before the seed, which is the flower. So in the flower there is information as to what the seed should contain. But where was the information about the flower? Eventually you can trace it back to the first seed. Before that it was just information. So in this prapancham (universe), all information was there prior to materialization. Including what we call humans. Even if it (nature) wipes out all matter, all living things, because the information is there, it can still produce life.
Just realizing and reflecting on this greatest Brahmandam that enlivens billions of living things, and all matter, Panchabootha: Space, Air, Fire, Water, Earth, you will become humble, silent and surrender to the Supreme. But we don’t give any thought to all this. Our attitude is ‘Do you know who I am? See what all I have done!’. And we focus on the most trivial things. See, space is the most subtle, most limitless, all-pervasive thing we can perceive. So that which created Space and all of this universe with its living and non-living things, imagine how great and all-pervasive that Atma is. That Brahman is. Where it will take things you and I don’t know. If IT decides to remove humans, you and I will not be there to even talk about Atma Jnanam. All this talk is useless. Therefore, just keep on being in tune with nature, living in close unity with Nature (Iyarkai oda ondri vaazanum), only then certain truths will reveal themselves in you. First live in close unity with the Guru. That is Satsangam. Because he is already one with Nature. Therefore certain Truths are known to him which is why he is at peace always. So to attain peace and happiness, be in Surrender. Surrender will happen only when you realize the Brahmandam that created all this and you.
In front of that Intelligence (which is in you) your ignorance cannot win. Ignorance can never know Intelligence. So as you keep feeling that presence in daily life, that intelligence will begin to shine. And whenever ignorance comes in front of you, that intelligence will correct it. Over time the mind will stop. This practice must be done in daily life. Don’t entertain the idea that you are in an ashram and are allocating time for Dhyanam when you sit. That is a Maya too. Your mind will be quiet then and disturb you at all other times.

Turiyam
Sri Mahaprabu has been in Samadhi for nearly 3 hours now. Is it night or dawn, don't know. Time has zero relevance when we are with him. Slowly he emerges. He then spoke at length about Turiya, (pronounced in Tamil as Turiyam). That which alone is and That which manifests as Waking, Dream, Sleep and all the plurality that appears to the senses. A very rewarding experience just listening to him. Not to mention a video-treat at the very end!...
The 3 D’s
Sri Mahaprabu says: You are Not. Something else Is. In this destructible body there is an indestructible Brahman. You aren’t there, I am not there. Isn’t this a wonder. All these years we have been living as though ‘I’ exist. You are living a lie. You have been living a lie for many births. And the lie only gives you suffering. Now you know this is a fact. Shouldn't you take corrective action? What is needed is this:...

It was past midnight in the time zone that Sri Mahaprabu was when he called me. As always there is silence at first. The issue of lust and the guilt that follows it, had been bothering me. Meditation is a 24-hour phenomenon, a natural one. One cannot practice it. So if you try to practice meditation it will be a failure. When you sit for meditation, the mind that says ‘I should meditate properly’ is a disturbance. Disturbance to what? The Silence… which is the state of Mediation!!...
How IT Works
A Jnani describes the play of the Supreme. Sri Mahaprabu went into a good degree of detail as to how the play happens. The inner workings. How it works. Why it works that way. The role of the Faith. Love, Awareness, Feeling of Existence
A disciple was serving coffee. Sri Mahaprabu noticed that she was doing it mechanically, without awareness. That spurred this beautiful talk about how we live entire lives without becoming aware of ourselves, aware of the feeling of Existence. How this is related to Love. And what is the only way to regain this awareness: Through Surrender. ...
Failing to Surrender
On the way to spending a few weeks with Sri Mahaprabu I decided to first go to the Himalayas and spend 3 days in solitude. All plans were made for travel and stay. But at the last minute, strange circumstances prevented me from taking the detour and I ended up straight at the Rest House with Mahaprabu. He spoke to me then....
